Georgia Toussas
POMPTON LAKES - Services were held for Georgia Marountas Toussas, 67, of this community, who died on Thursday, December 27, 2007.
Mrs. Toussas lived in Paterson before moving to Pompton Lakes 40 years ago. She was an assembler for Data Scope Corp., Fairfield, where she worked for 20 years before retiring.
Services were at the Richards Funeral Home, Riverdale.
Mrs. Toussas is survived by her daughter, Helana Ekonomides, of Pompton Lakes; her sisters, Jennie Figliolino of Haskell, Ernestine James of Forked River, and Frieda Harrison of Manahawkin; and a grandson.
She was predeceased by her parents, George and Bessie Marountas.
Antoinette Dedio
BUTLER - Services were held for Antoinette Grappone Dedio, 98, of this borough, who died on Thursday, December 27, 2007.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Mrs. Dedio lived in Riverdale and Florida before moving to Butler in 1993. She was a homemaker. Also, she was a member of St. Anthony's Church, Butler, and the Riverdale Senior Citizens.
Services were Saturday, December 29 at the Richards Funeral Home, Riverdale. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Compassionate Care Hospice, Suite 200, Parsippany, N.J. 07054 or to the American Red Cross.
Mrs. Dedio is survived by her sons, Joseph of Franklin Lakes, Michael of Naples, Fla., and Samuel of Riverdale; her daughter, Phyllis Taylor, of Pompton Plains; her sisters, Evelyn Matteo and Fannie Cantalupo, both of Maspeth, Queens, N.Y.; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony; and her parents, Michael and Josephine Grappone.
Phyllis Marion
BUTLER - Services were held for Phyllis T. Marion, 74, of this borough, who died on Friday, December 28, 2007.
Born in Butler, Mrs. Marion was a lifelong resident of this borough. She was a caretaker for the Butler Senior Center. Also, she worked at Komar Inc., Butler. she was a charter member of the Butler Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, a member of the Butler Senior Center Senior Advisory Board, and a crossing guard and police matron, both in Butler, as well.
Services were at the Morrison Funeral Home, Butler. Donations may be sent to St. Anthony's School, Butler.
Mrs. Marion is survived by her daughter, Clarice; her son, Alfred; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred; her parents, Ellsworth and Agnes Mitten; and her son, Francis.
Eileen Pascrell
LINCOLN PARK - Services were held for Eileen T. Pascrell, 50, of Wayne, who died on Monday, December 24, 2007. She was a former resident of this community.
Born in Orange, Mrs. Pascrell lived in Lincoln Park before moving to Wayne 17 years ago. She was a nurse with the same-day surgery unit at St. Joseph's Hospital, Paterson, for the last 12 years. Also, she taught CCD classes at Holy Cross Church, Wayne, where she was an active member.
Services were at the Keri Memorial Home, Lincoln Park, followed by mass at Holy Cross Church. Interment was at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa.
Mrs. Pascrell is survived by her husband, Frank; her children, Michael and Theresa; her mother, Theresa Horn; and her brothers, William Horn and
Christopher Horn.
Katherine Smith
BLOOMINGDALE - Services were held for Katherine "Tootsie" Smith, 90, of Wayne, who died on Wednesday, December 26, 2007. She was the mother of Richard of this community.
Services were Saturday, December 29 at the Vander May Wayne Colonial Funeral Home, Wayne. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Passaic Valley Hospice, 783 North Riverview Dr., Totowa, N.J. 07512.
Mrs. Smith also is survived by her husband, Richard; her daughters, Rosemary Santini of Panther Valley, Arleen Fallon of Pennsylvania, and Cathy Devito of Florida; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Jane Taylor
POMPTON LAKES - Services were held for Jane Luise Bamford Taylor, 80, of Wayne, who died on Wednesday, December 26, 2007. She was the mother of Robbin Peirce of this community.
Services were Saturday, December 29 at Moore's Home for Funerals, Wayne, followed by interment at Cedar Lawn Cemetery, Paterson. Donations may be sent to the Floating Children's Cancer Center, 750 Washington St., NEMC #14, Department of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, Boston, Mass. 02111.
Mrs. Taylor also is survived by her sons, Robert of Wellesley, Mass., Richard of Palm Coast, Fla., and Craig of Wayne; her other daughter, Lois Baldwin, of Sergeantsville; her brother Joseph Bamford, of Dorset, Vt.; and eight grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Luise Bamford.
Egon Leubner
KINNELON - Services were held for Egon A. Leubner, 80, of Clifton, who died on Sunday, December 23, 2007. He was the father of Rose Mozer of this community.
Services were Thursday, December 27 at the Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, Clifton, followed by mass at St. Stephen Magyar R.C. Church, Passaic.
Interment was at Calvary Cemetery, Paterson. Donations may be sent to Hospice of New Jersey, 40 Bey Lea Rd., Toms River, N.J. 08753.
Mr. Leubner also is survived by his wife, the former Kathe Tepfenhardt; his son, Kenneth, of Cave Creek, Ariz.; his other daughter, Carol Kaminski, of Blue Mountains, Pa.; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was predeceased by his sister, Inge Hilger.
Salvatore Caruso
WEST MILFORD - Services were held for Salvatore Caruso, 92, of Hackensack, who died on Sunday, December 30, 2007. He was the brother of Connie Gronny of this township.
Services were at the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, Hackensack, followed by mass at St. Francis R.C. Church, Hackensack. Interment was at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
Mr. Caruso also is survived by his wife, the former Christina Dalia; his sons, John of Cliffside Park, and Joseph of Maywood; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
James Cesa
POMPTON PLAINS - Services were held for James Cesa, 83, of Hawthorne, who died on Sunday, December 30, 2007. He was the father of Stanley of this community.
Services were at the Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, Hawthorne, followed by mass at St. Paul's R.C. Church, Prospect Park. Entombment was at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. He was predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Mary Veloce, Rose Pavoni, Mami Recchione, Antoinette Cesa, Charles Cesa, Pat Cesa, and John Cesa.
