Richard VanDeVelde
KINNELON - Services were held for Richard N. VanDeVelde, 81, of Rockaway Borough, who died on Friday, January 4, 2008. He was a former resident of this community.
Born in East Rutherford, Mr. VanDeVelde lived in Kinnelon before moving to Rockaway Borough three years ago. He was a self-employed painter in Morris and Passaic counties. Also, he was a 10-year veteran of the Tri-Boro First Aid Squad and a member of the Corvair Club.
Services were Tuesday, January 8 at St. David Episcopal Church, Kinnelon, followed by interment at Mount Evergreen Cemetery, Kinnelon. Arrangements were by the Norman Dean Home for Services, Denville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Visiting Nurse Association of New Jersey. Mr. VanDeVelde is survived by his wife, Georgia; his sons, Richard of Sussex, and Keith of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; his daughter, Bonnie Hook, of Rockaway Borough; and his sister, Dorothy Westling, of Utah.
Gerard Griesan
RINGWOOD - Services were held for Gerard F. Griesan, 86, of this community, who died on Tuesday, January 15, 2008.
Born in Germany, Mr. Griesan lived in Valley Stream, N.Y., before moving to Ringwood 46 years ago. He was an engineer for AT&T, New York City, before retiring. Also, he was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II.
Services were at United Midvale Methodist Church, Wanaque.
Arrangements were by the Richards Funeral Home.
Mr. Griesan is survived by his wife, the former Elsie Schnakenberg; his daughters, Linda of New York City, and Jennifer of Ringwood; and a grandson.
He was predeceased by his parents, Frederick and Suzanne; and his son, Randolph.
Quindara Frenzel
NEWFOUNDLAND - Services were held for Quindara Cole Frenzel, 64, of Woodstock, Va., who died on Saturday, January 12, 2008. She was a former resident of this community.
Born in Franklin, Mrs. Frenzel lived in Newfoundland before moving to Virginia in 1973.
Services were at the Maddox Funeral Home, Front Royal, Va. Donations may be sent to the United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 288, Newfoundland, N.J. 07435.
Mrs. Frenzel is survived by her husband, Henry; her daughter, Patience, of Haymarket, Va..; her son, Paul, of Jacksonville, Fla.; her father, Ronald Cole, of Newfoundland; and four grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her mother, Anna May Cole.
Donald Van Dunk
HASKELL - Services were held for Donald S. Van Dunk, 52, of this community, who died on Monday, January 14, 2008.
Mr. Van Dunk lived in Ringwood before moving to Haskell three years ago. He was a mason before retiring.
Services were at the Richards Funeral Home, West Milford.
Mr. Van Dunk is survived by his sons, Joshua of Haskell, and Donald of California; his daughters, Michelle and Lafon, both of California; his brothers, Jose Torres and Aron Van Dunk, both of Ringwood, and James DeGroot of Haskell; his sister, Sandra, of Ringwood; and two grandchildren.
John Hayek
POMPTON LAKES - Services were held for John G. Hayek, 87, of Murrells Inlet, S.C., who died on Monday, January 14, 2008. He was a former resident of this community.
Mr. Hayek was born in Detroit. He was a textile operator for Poughkeepsie Dye & Finishing, Paterson, before retiring. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of Pompton Lakes Veterans of Foreign Wars 2906 and American Legion Post 438, Paterson. He was a member of St. Mary's Church and the Golden Agers, both of Pompton Lakes, as well.
Services were at the Richards Funeral Home, Riverdale, followed by interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa.
Mr. Hayek is survived by his sons, George and John; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, the former Agnes Esso; and his parents, George and Adele.
Raymond Presutti
BLOOMINGDALE - Services were held for Raymond J. Presutti, 87, of this community, who died on Sunday, January 13, 2008.
Born in Newburgh, N.Y., Mr. Presutti lived in Brooklyn, N.Y., and Ridgefield Park before moving to Bloomingdale. He was a machinist for Nabisco & Co. for 21 years before retiring in 1981. Also, he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a longtime parishioner of St. Anthony's R.C. Church, Butler, as well.
Services were at St. Anthony's R.C. Church, followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor, N.Y. Arrangements were by the Morrison Funeral Home, Butler. Mr. Presutti is survived by his daughter, Cynthia.
He was predeceased by his wife, Jean; his parents, Dominick and Pia; and his brothers, Anthony and John.
Roy Sisco
KINNELON - Services were held for Roy M. Sisco, 95, of this community, who died on Saturday, January 12, 2008.
Born in Swoyersville, Pa., Mr. Sisco lived in the Butler, Bloomingdale, and Pompton Lakes area before moving to Kinnelon in 1938. He served in a number of municipal offices, including chairman of the Building Code Committee, member and president of the Borough Council, and president, assistant chief, and secretary/treasurer of the Kinnelon Volunteer Fire Company. He was neighborhood commissioner for the Boy Scouts of America and a Worshipful Master of Silentia Lodge 168, Free & Accepted Masons, as well.
Services were at the Morrison Funeral Home, Butler, followed by interment at Mount Repose Cemetery, Haverstraw, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Silentia Lodge 168, Free & Accepted Masons, 87 Bartholdi Ave., Butler, N.J. 07405.
Mr. Sisco is survived by his sons, Richard of Kingston, Okla., and James of Milton; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Dorothy Konopinski
BLOOMINGDALE - Services were held for Dorothy Konopinski, 85, of this community, who died on Friday, January 11, 2008.
Mrs. Konopinski was born in Hackensack. She was a member of the Rosary Society and the Third Order of Franciscans at St. Anthony's R.C. Church, Butler.
Services were at St. Anthony's R.C. Church, followed by interment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Butler. Arrangements were by the Morrison Funeral Home, Butler.
Mrs. Konopinski is survived by her sons, Raymond, Joseph, James, and Michael; and eight grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Chester; and her parents, Joseph and Bertha Weiss.
Patrick Cucco
RINGWOOD - Services were held for Patrick N. Cucco, 84, of this community, who died on Saturday, January 12, 2008.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y., Mr. Cucco lived in Los Angeles, Garfield, and Elmwood Park before moving to Ringwood a year ago. He was an aviation mechanic for more than 50 years, most recently working for Consolidated Instrument Corp., Teterboro, before retiring in 2001. He had received the Charles Taylor Master Mechanic Award. Also, he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Services were at the Vander May Wayne Colonial Funeral Home, Wayne, followed by mass at Immaculate Heart of Mary R.C. Church. Interment was at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105-2729.
Mr. Cucco is survived by his daughters, Margaret Cleri of Pompton Lakes, and Patricia LaCorte of Ringwood; his sons, Louis of Wayne, and Anthony of Staten Island, N.Y.; and 10 grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Josephine Migallo; his second wife, the former Yolanda Ruggiero; his brother, James; and his sister, Theresa Wright.
Mary Pituch-Mancin
BUTLER - Services were held for Mary T. Glodava Pituch-Mancin, 81, of Clifton, who died on Saturday, January 12, 2008. She was the stepmother of Patty Vanderbos of this borough.
Services were at the Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, Clifton, followed by mass at Ss. Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church, Clifton.
Mrs. Pituch-Mancin also is survived by her daughters, Lorraine Rothe of Clifton, Diane O'Connell of Whiting, and Joanne Pituch of Garfield; her brothers, Anthony Glodava of Clifton, Joseph Glodava of Saddle Brook, and John Glodava of Hamburg; her sister, Sr. M Marie Glodava, OSF, of Clifton; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Emil Pituch; her second husband, George Mancin; and her brothers, Steven Glodava and Daniel Glodava.
Beatrice Klemm
POMPTON PLAINS - Services were held for Beatrice Sylvia Bercaw Klemm, 78, of this community, who died on Saturday, January 12, 2008.
Born in Queens, N.Y., Mrs. Klemm grew up in Passaic and lived in Bloomingdale for 50 years before moving to Pompton Plains. She taught in the Bloomingdale public school system for more than 20 years. Also, she was a volunteer at the Bloomingdale and Kinnelon public libraries.
Services were at the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home, Pompton Plains. Donations may be sent to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, Memorial and Honor Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105.
Mrs. Klemm is survived by her sons, Dennis of Jefferson, Robert of Butler, Richard of West Milford, and Kenneth of Metairie, La.; her sister, Maxine Musick, of Colfax, Calif.; her brother, Roy Bercaw, of Cambridge, Mass.; and five grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Gustav; and her parents, Samuel and Faye Bercaw.
Anthony Curcio Sr.
WEST MILFORD - Services were held for Anthony J. Curcio, 79, of Totowa, who died on Tuesday, January 15, 2008. He was the father of Anthony of this township.
Services were at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, Totowa, followed by mass at St. James R.C. Church, Totowa. Interment was at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Evelyn Harraka; and his companion, Lucille Kearny.
